“I have played it a few times and really do like it. I felt the emotion and it was right on with what I was feeling at the time and during the writing so many years later. I have to admit I went through some emotion I didn’t expect when I heard the sample. I put a lot into the music and so my pride came to the surface when listening to the changes. I went back and forth a couple of days about going ahead on others but spent some time listening a few more times then singing along. I quickly realized that your version expresses the emotions so much more than my original. I have found myself singing the rest of the song to what I had heard in the sample and it has been playing in my head all day waiting for the final master version. I did encounter one problem in singing along. I can no longer hit the high notes in the chorus like I used to be able to do.

Story Behind the Song
The Next Time I See You is a beautiful love song about a couple that is physically apart but awaiting the time when they can be together forever. “We have pledged to marry soon, become husband and wife. We will make this place a home, start our new life”. It’s difficult when you feel alone and you’re without your partner, but it’s easier when you hold on to their memories and love. “I hear your voice I see your face I taste your kiss, I feel the warmth of your embrace”. This is an all-around beautiful song encouraging listeners to keep holding on to love and memories, when you’re feeling lonely!
