Story Behind the Song

Lost is a love story with a difference. The lyricist laments, “Somewhere along the way we got lost/Warm-blooded lovers caught in the frost/No footsteps to follow/no compass nor map/We have nothing to eat/not even a scrap.” The lovers have frozen faces, “but not from the cold/We could find warmth if we dared to hold” on to each other, as in the past when it was so right.” If only “the trail were not gone, but just out of sight.” Listen to the hope and despair just beyond the horizon when lovers are Lost.
