There are always stories that go along with the songs that we produce. Always. Whether they are true or made up, they’re stories. Some people use stories (fiction) to teach, prove a point, be someone else (looking through the lens of someone else’s life), talk about life, etc. There are many, many, ways to make up stories and they’re fun, because it can literally be about anything you can dream up. We love to compose/produce songs to them!

But I’d have to say, my personal favorite (of songs that we produce) are those that are true to life. A love story - about a lover – spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend, friend or family member, etc. Someone that is special to you. They have a great impact on the person. That’s what the song “Beshert” is about. Beshert is the Jewish notion of a soulmate, or a love that will last forever. It’s a beautiful thought and one that is encapsulated in to one word. Fortunately, one of our clients decided to write some lyrics around that loving feeling to her husband of many years. She didn’t do it for his birthday, or a holiday, or anything like that. She wrote the lyrics just because she loves her man. She did it to let him know how she feels about walking through life with him. When he received the song he was overcome with emotion because he couldn’t believe someone would care enough to give him something so profound. His own song… with words from her own heart and soul.

If you are trying to get the emotional response - something different, something important - write them lyrics and have a song written for them. They will never forget it!
